The Firm

The firm

The Ritz: this name evokes images of a Paris luxury hotel, haunted by the ghosts of thousands of celebrities. The building of our law firm in Sion is much more humble and bears no link to the famous hotelier César Ritz. Its name comes from the avenue that borders it, which is dedicated to Raphaël Ritz, a famous genre painter from Valais, who lived in the area towards the end of the 19th century.

The Ritz Commercial Centre, built at the end of the 1980s, is the work of architect Jacques Widmann, who built it on the land where his family's mansion stood at the beginning of the century. The site was left vacant for a very long time as Neolithic graves and houses were discovered during the excavation process for the underground car park.

The Ritz Commercial Centre is a complex of offices, apartments and parking facilities. It is situated opposite the post office Poste Nord and the Land Registry, and within five minutes walking distance of the Law Courts and the main offices of the cantonal administration and government. This greatly facilitates the work of our firm, which occupies 528 sqm on the second floor of the main building.  We enjoy a spacious office space that looks onto a lush garden to the north, with sunny offices and meeting rooms overlooking the old town of Sion, a light and quiet library, and effective and efficient IT support:  everything contributes to create a pleasant working environment and an atmosphere that is conducive to clear and confident communication.
